Internet Connection Alerter
Internet Connection Alerter is a free Chrome add-on that alerts you when your internet connection goes down. With this app, you no longer have to worry about your downloads getting stalled or missing important online activities due to an unexpected internet outage.
Once you install the add-on, simply click the "Start Checking" button to begin monitoring your internet connection. If the internet goes down, a small alert audio will continuously play until you click the "Acknowledge" button. You also have the option to switch off the checking whenever you want.
The developers have taken care to use two minimum latency connections to check your internet, ensuring that network consumption is not a concern. However, please note that this is a very initial version of the app and there is still room for further development. The developers welcome feedback for bug reports and improvements.
